We had a great time playing for everyone at Monkeytown!

Wednesday night's show was a dream come true in a variety of ways -- it was our first SOLD OUT show, it was our first show at Monkeytown, a venue we love, and it was the first time for us to play for an audience surrounding us on all four sides. Having you beautiful people all around us made me a little, well, intimidated!

The first song felt really good; I played Reversible alone for the audience and felt connected to the people around me right away and sensed that audience felt that way, too. Sonia came up on stage and joined me for Kind Monitor done acoustic-style and then we were off from there! Skye T's video art was projected for the rest of the show, everyone seemed to be enjoying the music and the food, I dedicated the song Sharks to a meatball on someone's plate.

After the show people's comments were as follows: "We really liked the song 'End of the Game;' it was so intense it made us both tear up." "Watching you play at Monkeytown let me hear your songs in a whole new way, I felt like I was in the 60s or something with the video art and couches and pillows listening to you play." "My friend dragged me to the show to hear this new band and I was totally won over once you played 'Cairo.'"

All in all, it would be hard to imagine the show could have gone better -- good people enjoying themselves, good acoustics in the space to make us sound pretty, a full house! Yes!

Thanks so much for being a part of a magical night! See you in August at Pete's Candy Store!
