The first announcement of our revived blog is that the video for Cairo is posted to youtube.
"The love that got away takes a long to explain./ Talia walked miles before she'd say it: I oughta know."
Cairo video still:
A talented Manhattan-based video artist, Federico Kuhrmeier, has completed and posted an intensely minimalist video for Kind Monitor's song Cairo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TdN3f_SQgY
About the video: Our song Cairo is the audience favorite at our live shows here in NYC and since we'd like more people to hear and enjoy it in other places around the world, we made a video and are sharing it with our friends. Shot in high contrast HD, the video has a stark, Butoh-influenced feel to it and ends with a woman's shaky splattered awakening from the hold of her memory.
Here's a link to the video on youtube:

Check out the video for free on Youtube and pass this message on to 5 or 10 of your friends and ask them to share with their friends ... we're using the Cairo video as a way to spread the word about the digital advance release of our debut album Somebody Saves My Life Most Every Single Day (now on CDBaby and I-tunes). We'll know we're reaching new people by the # of plays of Cairo on You-tube. Help spread the word so we can come play in your city one day!
Glad to be back!
